The PADI Wreck Course Egypt helps you look at a wreck as a dive environment that needs planning and care. A structure can hold fascinating details, but it also introduces hazards, changing visibility and opportunities to become distracted.
We want you to enjoy the exploration while keeping control of your position and decisions. Our PADI Master Instructors help you recognise what deserves attention before you enter the water and while you move around the wreck.
What you learn on the PADI Wreck Course Egypt
You develop wreck surveying, hazard awareness, buoyancy and route planning. Your instructor explains how disturbed silt can affect visibility and why thoughtful movement matters to both divers and the site.
Lines and reels form part of the training, with clear explanations and supervised practice. You review the dive afterwards, so the experience becomes something you can learn from rather than simply another wreck in your logbook.
Four shore dives over two days
Our Hurghada programme includes two days and four shore dives. We use the Suzanna wreck when conditions are suitable. Shore access gives us time to prepare, practise and discuss the skills without the pressure of a busy boat timetable.
Equipment and eLearning are included. Complete the study before practical training, after we send your materials following booking and the deposit. Lunch is not included on these shore-based course days. The plan may change with conditions and your progress.
Readiness and sensible boundaries
The minimum age is 15, with Adventure Diver, Advanced Open Water or a qualifying certification. Send your certification and recent experience before booking. For divers under 16, a parent attends at least day one and further days if needed.
Wreck certification does not increase your depth qualification or provide unrestricted permission to enter wrecks. Any entry must stay within course standards, site suitability and your instructor’s assessment. Technical and more demanding overhead diving require further training.
Small groups and experienced instructors
We normally teach two students per instructor. Suitable families can learn together in groups of up to four, subject to each person meeting the course requirements. Children under 15 learn one-to-one unless they choose to train with a sibling or family member.
Our instructors have years of experience helping divers progress, including people who feel nervous about a new challenge. We explain, listen and give useful feedback. If further training is needed, we discuss the time and cost before arranging it.

Two extra boat days let you enjoy guided Red Sea diving and practise your buoyancy and observation skills. Ask about suitable wreck opportunities, but remember that particular sites depend on conditions, experience and the agreed booking.

Will this course let me enter any wreck?
No. Wrecks vary greatly. You must stay within your training and experience, local rules and site conditions. The qualification does not permit unrestricted penetration.
Does the course take place on a boat?
Our two-day course uses four shore dives. Boat diving afterwards is an optional separate booking, which we recommend planning into your stay.
