Why choose Egypt for learn to dive holidays?

A holiday gives you time to focus on something you have always wanted to do. Instead of fitting training around work and everyday commitments, you can settle into learning, then put it into practice while everything is still fresh.

Some UK courses run over several evenings or weekends, and outdoor training can involve colder water and variable visibility.

In contrast, learning in Hurghada offers a different experience: a dedicated break, generally warmer water and the chance to explore colourful Red Sea reefs during your stay.

Time to concentrate

Build your holiday around your course, with room to ask questions, practise and relax. That is why we plan around your progress, rather than rushing you towards a certificate.

A rewarding setting

Clear water and abundant reef life are part of Egypt's appeal. However, conditions change with the season and weather, so we choose suitable sites and equipment for your training.

Experience straight afterwards

After qualifying, stay for extra dives. Then use the skills you have just learnt and discover how enjoyable diving becomes as your confidence grows.

Make Egypt the start of your diving adventure. Learn with our patient Master Instructors in Hurghada, then explore colourful Red Sea reefs and build confidence on extra dives with the same instructor. Ask us to plan your learn to dive holiday.

Keep diving with the same instructor

Your course is the beginning. Experience is what helps those new skills become familiar. One of the biggest benefits of our learning holidays is the opportunity to continue diving with the same instructor after your course.

Because they already know you, they understand how you learn and which skills need a little more practice. For example, you can work on buoyancy, equipment routines and awareness during enjoyable dives, with familiar support close by.

For new Open Water divers, we recommend adding two days of boat diving after the course. Therefore, ask us to include these dives and arrange continuity with your instructor when booking. The dives will suit your qualification, experience and the conditions.

However, you do not need to jump straight into another course. Time spent becoming comfortable, making thoughtful decisions and enjoying your diving is valuable in its own right.

Learn to dive holidays with Dive UK Hurghada

Learning to dive can feel exciting and unfamiliar at the same time. That is why we listen, explain each step and give you time. Our PADI Master Instructors bring years of experience and hundreds of courses taught to your training.

We normally teach just two students per instructor. As a result, you get personal attention and space to practise. Alternatively, suitable families can learn together in a group of up to four.

For younger learners, our children's PADI courses page explains our smaller-group arrangements and parent attendance requirements.

Above all, safety, understanding and confidence come first. Certification depends on completing the course requirements; it is never something we rush you through to meet a holiday timetable.

Learn to dive holidays with accommodation and extra diving

You can book a course on its own, but a learning holiday brings the whole experience together. For example, we can include accommodation, private airport transfers, your chosen PADI course and extra diving in one quote.

Ask us for a fully inclusive learning package with experience dives. Before you book, we will clearly list the accommodation, teaching, equipment, learning materials, certification costs, transfers and diving included in your agreed package.

In addition, meals and any optional extras will be explained, so you can plan your budget properly.

No hidden extras for the package you agree with us. As a result, you will know what is included and what would cost extra before booking. However, flights, insurance and personal spending should only be counted as included if expressly stated in your quote.

We offer savings of up to 20% on PADI courses when booked with an accommodation and diving package. Before booking, ask which offer applies to your course and stay.

You may be pleasantly surprised by the value. For a fair comparison, compare the complete cost of training, equipment, travel and experience dives, rather than the course headline alone. In addition, your dates and accommodation choice will affect the total.

How your learn to dive holiday comes together

  1. Talk to us first. Share your travel dates, experience, accommodation preferences and who is coming. Then we will help you choose the right course and leave time for extra diving.
  2. Start learning before you travel. For all courses, you book with a £200 deposit per person and we send your eLearning before arrival. In addition, your holiday quote explains the separate package payment arrangements.
  3. Learn at a comfortable pace. Beginners usually start with our PADI Open Water course. Next, practical training takes place from shore, with time to work through the skills with your instructor.
  4. Enjoy your new skills. Add boat diving with the same instructor, build experience and enjoy being part of the diving day. Finally, we will help plan the diving schedule around your stay and departure.

Learn to dive holidays: frequently asked questions

Are learn to dive holidays suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Tell us that you are new to diving and we will help you choose your starting point. The Open Water course page explains the participation and swimming requirements. Then we will talk through the preparation before you book.

Can I keep diving with the instructor who taught me?

Yes. We can plan extra diving with the same instructor after your course. To make this possible, arrange it with us when booking and allow time for both training and experience dives.

Why add diving days after my course?

Practice helps you become more comfortable with your equipment and new skills. In particular, extra dives give you time to enjoy the reefs, improve your buoyancy and build experience with support. For this reason, we recommend two days of boat diving after Open Water.

What do your learn to dive holidays include?

We tailor the package to you. It can combine accommodation, private airport transfers, your course and extra diving.

Your written quote lists the exact inclusions, equipment, meals and any optional costs. Therefore, ask for a fully inclusive learning package so we can bring everything you need together.

Are there hidden course or package charges?

No hidden extras apply to the package you agree with us. Before booking, we explain the total and inclusions. However, optional activities or changes are quoted separately. However, the course cards below show course prices, not the total cost of a holiday.

Will I receive eLearning before travelling?

Yes. For all courses, you pay a £200 deposit per person and we send your eLearning before arrival. As a result, you have time to work through the theory and bring your questions to your instructor.

How many days should I allow?

It depends on the course, your progress and how much diving you want afterwards. Open Water practical training is normally three days, and we recommend two additional boat-diving days. Therefore, contact us before fixing your travel plans so we can allow time for training, experience and your departure.

Can qualified divers and families come too?

Yes. We can help plan a holiday for people with different experience levels. Meanwhile, qualified divers can choose further training or suitable diving, while beginners learn. Tell us the ages of any children so we can explain the teaching and parent attendance arrangements.
