Your PADI Open Water Course in Hurghada: step by step

Our PADI Open Water Course in Hurghada takes place entirely from shore, beginning in shallow water where you can stand. Initial confined-water skills need suitable pool-like conditions, including appropriate shallow water. Starting those skills directly in deep water from a boat without the required shallow-water training does not meet those requirements.

We teach the entire Open Water course from shore, away from busy boats and fixed schedule times, so you have a calm learning environment and the time and personal attention you need to learn safely and build confidence. Your learning experience is very important to us.

  • Book your course: contact us on WhatsApp for a chat and pay your £200 per person deposit.
  • Once we receive your deposit: we send your PADI eLearning with full instructions. Complete it before you arrive; we're available if you need help.
  • The day before your course: we confirm your pickup time and send instructions for your visit to our shore-diving facility.
  • Day 1: shore-based training, usually starting around 8 am and finishing between 1 and 2 pm.
  • Day 2: continue your shore-based training, usually from around 8 am until 1–2 pm.
  • Day 3: continue your training and complete the remaining course requirements as you progress, usually from around 8 am until 1–2 pm.

Please note: Finish times are approximate and depend on your pace of learning. We never rush our courses. We give you the time you need to learn each skill properly and build confidence in the water.

99.9% of our students pass in three days. Certification depends on meeting all course requirements. If you need extra training, additional days cost £120 per person per day. Safety comes first. Our priority is to help you develop your skills and confidence.

Learn to dive with personal support

We take pride in teaching you how to be a confident, responsible diver. Our instructors support you through the practical skills and theory, helping you understand both what to do and why it matters.

For us, the goal is more than completing a course. We want you to leave with skills you can use, confidence in your training and a sense of achievement. Certification is awarded once you meet all course requirements.

After you finish your PADI Open Water course, we suggest joining us for two days of fun dives from the boat to put everything you’ve learnt into practice. We offer special discounts for these post-course fun dives.

Hurghada’s underwater scenery and marine life give you plenty to look forward to as you learn. Your safety is our priority. Our British diving company puts personal attention and safety first. Read our guests’ reviews on Google and Tripadvisor to learn about their experiences.
