Our Hurghada top dive sites guide introduces five reefs we would love to share with you. From colourful coral gardens to dramatic reef walls, each offers a different reason to spend a little longer exploring the Red Sea.
The best way to enjoy that variety is to book a five-day diving package. With two guided dives each day, you have ten dives to settle in, get to know our team and discover more of the reefs around Hurghada.
Exploring Hurghada top dive sites over five days
Five days gives us more opportunities to visit a range of reefs, so you can expect to explore some of these favourites when conditions and the group allow. You may get to see several during your stay, alongside other lovely local sites.
We cannot guarantee a particular dive site. We choose our sites on the morning of each trip, taking account of the weather, currents and the abilities and experience of the divers aboard. Your safety and comfort always come first.

Five of our favourite Hurghada top dive sites
1. Gota Abu Ramada
Often nicknamed “the Aquarium”, Gota Abu Ramada is a lovely place to enjoy colourful reef fish around coral formations. The reef rises from a sandy seabed, with plenty to catch your eye as you follow its contours.
It is a good reminder that you do not need to rush to enjoy a reef. Take your time watching the fish move around the coral, while your instructor chooses a route suited to the conditions and your experience.
2. Torfa El Shahid
Also written Torfa El Shahed, this reef lies in the Giftun area and is associated with the Ben El Gebel dive area. Coral blocks, sandy spaces and reef life give you plenty of smaller details to look for.
It offers a different feel from an exposed offshore reef. We choose the route carefully around the current and the group, giving you time to enjoy the coral scenery without rushing from one feature to the next.
3. Careless Reef
Careless Reef is an offshore reef known for its two main coral pinnacles and the plateau between them. Beyond the reef, the seabed drops into deeper water, creating an impressive setting for a guided dive.
Look for reef fish around the coral and keep an eye out for moray eels. Because the reef is exposed, weather and sea conditions are especially important when we decide whether to visit. All diving stays within your training and agreed plan.
4. Umm Gamar
Umm Gamar combines an island reef, coral-covered features and steep walls. It is a beautiful change of scenery, with reef fish moving around the coral and blue water beyond the reef edge.
The shape of the reef offers different routes, so we match the dive to your qualifications, confidence and the conditions. There is no need to go deep to appreciate the scenery, and we do not include cave entry in a normal guided reef dive.
5. El Fanadir
El Fanadir is a long reef north of Hurghada, with northern and southern dive areas. Its reef wall and sandy ledges offer plenty to explore, from fish around the coral to smaller creatures blending into the seabed.
This is a place to slow down and look closely. Your instructor helps you notice the details while choosing a suitable route for the current and your experience. As at every reef, marine-life encounters are a possibility, never a promise.

Five days of diving
Ten guided dives, with two dives each day. Stay in your own accommodation and join us for five days on the boat.

Equipment hire is extra: full kit is £100 per person for five days. Transfers are included within 2 km of the activity facility; farther accommodation is quoted. Packages run on consecutive days unless agreed otherwise before booking.
Seven nights and five diving days
£600 per person, based on two sharing a studio. That is £1,200 for two people, including seven nights and ten dives each.
Your holiday includes a self-catering studio, private airport transfers, transfers on your booked diving days, guided diving, air and weights, boat lunch and drinks, marine fees and taxes.
Flights are booked separately. Equipment hire is extra at £100 per person for five diving days. We help with the arrangements and look after you throughout your stay, so you can relax and enjoy your holiday.
Check availability with us before booking your flights. Solo travellers and guests wanting a different length of stay are very welcome; we will help you choose the right arrangement.
Daily diving at Hurghada top dive sites
Our daily diving in Hurghada includes two guided dives and a full boat day for qualified divers. One-day prices are £70 for one diver, £65 each for two, £60 each for three or £55 each for four divers booking together.
Equipment hire is extra at £25 per day for full kit, with any additional transfers quoted before booking. A shorter visit is still a lovely way to enjoy the Red Sea; a five-day package gives you more time and a lower daily rate.
Hurghada top dive sites with personal care
We take a maximum of four qualified divers per PADI Master Instructor. Our British-owned and managed team takes time to understand your experience, answer your questions and help you feel comfortable.

We suggest that you book early to avoid disappointment. Spaces are limited because we take a maximum of four divers to one instructor for guided diving.
