PADI Nitrox Course Egypt: What enriched air changes

The PADI Nitrox Course Egypt is about understanding the gas you breathe and using it thoughtfully. Enriched air contains less nitrogen than normal air. On suitable dives, that can give you more time within no-decompression limits. However, oxygen exposure and maximum operating depth also need careful attention.

Nitrox does not make a cylinder last longer, and it does not qualify you to dive deeper. We explain these differences in everyday language, so you can decide when enriched air is useful for the diving you enjoy.

Practical skills on your PADI Nitrox Course Egypt

You learn to analyse a cylinder, record its oxygen content and set a compatible dive computer. Your instructor helps you connect the reading on the analyser with the plan for the dive. This is knowledge you need to use yourself, rather than leaving the checks to somebody else.

The training covers enriched air with up to 40% oxygen. We discuss the limits of the gas mix and why a familiar dive site may still need a different plan. Ask questions as you go; understanding the reason behind a check makes it easier to remember.

One boat day with two dives

Our Hurghada package includes one day on the boat and two dives with your instructor. Complete your included eLearning beforehand, then review your knowledge and practical checks with us. Lunch and refreshments are included on the boat day.

The dives give you a chance to apply what you have learnt in a supported setting. Your qualification, age-related limits and the gas limits still apply. You receive certification when you meet all course requirements.

Who can join?

The minimum age is 12, with PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or a qualifying certification. If you are learning to dive, ask us about combining Nitrox with your Open Water course. We confirm the arrangements before booking.

Children under 15 learn one-to-one unless they choose to train with a sibling or family member. A parent attends at least day one for divers under 16, and further days if needed. Junior divers retain their depth and supervision limits.

Small groups and experienced instructors

We normally teach two students per instructor. Suitable families can learn together in groups of up to four, subject to each person meeting the course requirements. Children under 15 learn one-to-one unless they choose to train with a sibling or family member.

Our instructors have years of experience helping divers progress, including people who feel nervous about a new challenge. We explain, listen and give useful feedback. If further training is needed, we discuss the time and cost before arranging it.

Make your course part of a diving holiday

Book your PADI Nitrox Course Egypt as part of a diving holiday with us. We can bring your course, accommodation, transfers and extra diving into one personally arranged plan. Tell us your travel dates and what you would like from the holiday.

We confirm the items and costs included in your own package before you book. You can also book the course on its own if you have already arranged accommodation. Send the hotel details so we can check transfer arrangements.

Stay for two more days on the boat

Two more boat days let you repeat the gas checks and planning habits in a relaxed setting. Ask us about suitable nitrox dives and any additional gas charges when we arrange the extra diving.

Explore our daily diving programme and ask us to add two days to your quote. Extra boat diving is booked separately from the course. We agree suitable dates around training, your progress and your travel plans.

PADI Nitrox Course Egypt: your questions

Will nitrox help my cylinder last longer?

No. The useful difference concerns nitrogen exposure and no-decompression limits on suitable dives. Your gas consumption still determines how quickly you use the cylinder.

Do I need to be good at complicated maths?

We explain the ideas clearly and help you use the appropriate planning tools. You still need to understand and complete the required knowledge and practical checks yourself.
