PADI Sidemount Course Egypt: Discover a different way to configure your equipment

PADI Sidemount Course Egypt: discover a different way to configure your equipment. Train with Dive UK Hurghada, with personal attention from our PADI Master Instructors and time to understand what you are learning.

This guide helps you decide whether the course suits your next step. Visit our main sidemount course page for the full programme, current prices and inclusions.

PADI Sidemount Course Egypt: Make the equipment work with you

The PADI Sidemount Course Egypt introduces a recreational configuration with cylinders positioned alongside your body. It is a chance to learn a new approach to equipment preparation, balance and cylinder handling with close personal guidance.

Changing configuration takes practice. A clip in the wrong place or a small weighting adjustment can affect comfort and control. We give you time to understand those details, rather than expecting an unfamiliar setup to feel natural immediately.

Skills on the PADI Sidemount Course Egypt

Your instructor works with you on harness fit, cylinder position, weighting and balanced trim. You begin with controlled practice in shallow water before progressing through the training. We explain each adjustment and review how it feels in the water.

You also practise cylinder handling and gas management under supervision. The goal is a repeatable routine that you understand. Ask about anything awkward, from reaching a connection to maintaining a comfortable position.

Personal tuition from shore

Our course runs over two days with four shore dives. We prefer one-to-one teaching and take no more than two students per instructor. This leaves time for careful equipment fitting, practice and useful feedback.

Equipment is included, with XDEEP kit available if you do not have your own. Tell us about any equipment you plan to bring. Included eLearning is sent after booking and your deposit, ready to complete before practical training. Lunch is not included on this shore-based course.

Check the requirements and understand the limits

You must be at least 15 and hold PADI Open Water Diver or a qualifying certification. Share your recent diving experience so we can discuss readiness. For divers under 16, a parent attends at least the first day, and further days if needed.

This is recreational sidemount training. It does not qualify you for decompression diving, cave diving or wreck penetration. Certification depends on meeting all requirements, and your existing depth limits still matter.

Make your course part of a diving holiday

Book your PADI Sidemount Course Egypt as part of a diving holiday with us. We can bring your course, accommodation, transfers and extra diving into one personally arranged plan. Tell us your travel dates and what you would like from the holiday.

We confirm the items and costs included in your own package before you book. You can also book the course on its own if you have already arranged accommodation. Send the hotel details so we can check transfer arrangements.

Stay for two more days on the boat

Add two boat-diving days to enjoy the Red Sea after training. If you want to use sidemount on those dives, tell us in advance so we can confirm suitable equipment, sites and arrangements rather than assuming the setup will be available.

Explore our daily diving programme and ask us to add two days to your quote. Extra boat diving is booked separately from the course. We agree suitable dates around training, your progress and your travel plans.
