We have some amazing Wrecks in the Red Sea so doing your PADI Wreck Speciality Course in Hurghada prior to exploring them is a must. The PADI Wreck Course is designed to allow you to have the necessary skills to dive wrecks safely all over the world. You will learn the importance of controlling your Buoyancy, mapping a wreck site, the dangers and safety concerns of diving a wreck and how to penetrate them safely.
The first day of the course will be spent at a local wreck which is great to learn the PADI Wreck Speciality on. This wreck is located approximately 60 meters from shore and lies at a depth of 20 meters so it’s important you have done your PADI Advanced Course too.
The 2nd day you will visit a beautiful old war ship called El Mina that still has torpedoes on board which can be seen from the outside. It’s a great wreck to explore and you can see clearly where it was hit by a missile from an aircraft. The bow is wide open and there is a small area where you can penetrate the wreck.
The PADI Wreck Course is a total must if you intend to go on a Liveaboard to explore the North Red Sea to see all of the amazing Wrecks we have here in Egypt. The list of Wrecks available for you to explore are endless and we totally recommend you see the Thistlegorm, Salem Express, Rosalie Miller, The Ulysses, The Barge, Carnatic, Chrisoula K, Giannis D and the Kimon M. After your PADI Wreck course in Hurghada we really suggest you take one of our day trips to the Salem Express wreck which is a huge passenger ferry that sunk back in 1991. This is a wreck that should not be missed. The Salam Express is a huge wreck and is over 100 meters long and 20 meters wide. You can swim nearly the whole length inside the wreck and see personal belongings, cars and other machinery. The restaurant of the ship is also penetrable and is a beautiful swim through. On the outside of the wreck, you will also see a sunken lifeboat and other debris from when the ship sunk.
The PADI Wreck Speciality Course in Hurghada is taught to you by our very own English PADI IDC Staff Instructor and you will only learn in small groups. You will learn all of the PADI Course content to the very highest standards. We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning around 8am and return you at approximately 4pm.
The first day will be from shore and the 2nd will be from our beautiful boat which is regarded one of the best in the Red Sea. Its very clean and has all the amenities one would expect from a high-quality Daily Diving Boat.
Before doing your PADI Wreck Speciality we really recommend you do your PADI Advanced Course and we offer great discounts if you do the two Courses together. We recommend this because many of the Wrecks are over 18 meters and to get the full benefit being able to Scuba Dive to 30 meters will give you the full benefit of the course.
