DiveUK Terms and Conditions

Our customers are very important to us and our number one aim is to provide a safe and fun environment with the very highest of standards. Our company ethics state we deliver training in small groups and daily dives with a maximum ratio of 6 Divers to one guide. All of our guides/instructors are trained to the very highest of standards.

Acceptance of the below terms and conditions will be assumed upon receipt of a deposit to secure any bookings. If you do not accept the terms and conditions set out below, please make us aware before confirmation. 

Safety:

  • Dive UK Hurghada put safety and your welfare above everything and we pride ourselves on having zero incidents and will continue to strive for this standard. We do not allow any diver to exceed their certification limits under any circumstances and decompression dives are not allowed unless planned in advance. 
  • Dive UK Hurghada reserves the right to terminate any dive or cancel your booking if we see any unsafe acts with no refund. This includes putting yourself, our staff and other customers at risk. Please follow our professional Instructions at all times.
  • Dive UK Hurghada cannot be responsible for any cancellation or interruption to diving or services caused by currents, wind, weather conditions and the advice of the Red Sea government. 
  • We reserve the right to cancel your booking should we believe you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No refunds will be given. 
  • We do not tolerate any type of abuse towards our staff or others. Your booking will be cancelled with no refunds given. 

Insurance:

  • It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate insurance cover for any loss, injury or medical emergency. Most travel insurance covers Scuba diving up to a certain depth, make sure you are aware of these limits, the terms and conditions and how to make a claim. We recommend having specific diving insurance too. Our staff have DAN insurance, which from previous experience we can recommend. Please feel free to make your instructor aware of your insurance policy and keep a copy with you at all times.
  • You will not be covered under any of Dive UK Hurghada’s insurance and we cannot be held responsible for any injury or loss. Dive UK Hurghada has public liability insurance up to £4 Million GBP. 

Payment:

  • No bookings will be confirmed until a non-refundable deposit has been paid. All deposits can be paid via a UK bank transfer or wise.com for European customers in GBP only. Dive UK Hurghada cannot accept payment via card or other methods such as PayPal.
  • Any bookings that require a payment plan and be clear upon booking. All payments must be made on time and in full. Any missed payments may result in cancellation with no refunds. 
  • All diving holiday packages will have payment plans and other bookings may be subject to set payments. This will be made clear upon booking. 
  • All payment plans can be discussed and agreed at the time of booking. Any balance payable in cash should be paid in GBP. We can accept cash payments in Euro and US dollars at our exchange rate on the day. The balance of any booking shall be made on the first day of activity.

Cancellations or changes:

  • Should Dive UK Hurghada cancel any bookings for a reason other than specified above a full refund will be given with the exception of any PADI course material fee. The PADI materials are yours to keep and can be transferred to another dive centre or instructor should you wish.
  • Should you cancel your booking all monies paid up to that date will be lost. 
  • It may be possible to transfer your booking to another date, however this will depend on the schedule and existing bookings of Dive UK Hurghada and may be subject to an administration fee. Although we cannot guarantee this, we will do our best to accommodate.
  • Scuba Diving Packages are discounted as they are a package – all packages must be done on consecutive days unless agreed. To change a day to have a day off may lead to a supplement.
  • In relation to Scuba diving holidays, any accommodation booked is non-transferable and any monies paid will be lost.
  • Dive UK Hurghada will be more than happy to assist with insurance claims in unfortunate events if the booking is paid in full, (Invoices and receipts will be provided free of charge). If the booking has not been paid in full an administration fee of £50 may be payable. 
  • PADI courses have a maximum of 4 students unless it is a group booking / family. All courses will be delivered to PADI standards with no exceptions and we will not certify any student that has not met the requirements.
  • If you decide not to continue with a PADI course any monies paid will not be refunded or transferred to other services unless it fits in with our operation and we agree.
  • PADI courses are on a strict timetable and must be completed in a specific sequence, missing part of the course may be subject to extra fees being charged to catch up out of the instructors normal working hours however this may not always be possible. We will not allow other students to be held back. Any extra days are charged at £120 per day.
  • To catch up after the instructor has completed 2 dives in a day the cost for 1 extra dive will be £50pp. 
  • All of our rental equipment is maintained and serviced to manufacturers recommendations. All regulator mouthpieces are sterilised before first use. We take great pride in our equipment and want you too also.
  • When hiring our equipment, we expect you to thoroughly wash the equipment at the end of each day to avoid corrosion of salt water. Your instructor will advise on the best way to do this. Please make sure no equipment comes into contact with sand. 
  • All mouthpieces will be checked before and after use, any bitten mouthpieces will be charged at £15 each.
  • Any damages or loss caused by the customer will be charged and must be paid on the same day damage is done or noticed. The costs are;

Regulator damage is between £100 and £500 per set

BCD damage is between £100 and £400 per BCD

Computer damage is between £200 and £350 per computer

  • We look after our equipment to the highest standard and expect you to do the same. We reserve the right to inspect the equipment at any point during the hire and withdraw the use of the equipment if necessary.
